OK, I am so thrilled by the quality of the Aussie bulbs, but am perplexed. Last year, I only ordered a few and they were all very much asleep when I got them. THIS YEAR, the batch is really a mixed bag. About half already have the tips of scapes peeking out and the rest are looking dormant. Should I chill the dormant ones to delay blooms for a couple of months? I don't dare chill any with scape tips as I'm afraid that will stop them in their tracks and risk aborting blooms.
THOUGHTS!?!?
ALSO, I have ordered some special soiless medium for the Amorpophallus corms and wonder since I amended my medium last year with so much sand, perlite, etc (non organics) if anyone uses ProMix for their bulbs?
THANKS!
