Musa basjoo fruiting in zone 6 in the ground!!!!!

Well, this may be the most stunning thing I have ever seen in my yard plant wise! I planted my Musa basjoo approximately 8 years ago and it has come back ever spring to produce a wonderful tropical effect, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would see fruit forming in my yard:

These are cut back to around 18 inches every fall and buried under mulch as is the norm for these. I've never had fruit before and this year I now have 2 separate plants fruiting!!!! Who says you can not fruit a M. basjoo in zone 6 growing in the ground....can you tell I am excited :o) Dan
