I consider it worth growing, Can. If you've already read the blurbs from Morton Arboretum, etc. you know that it is highly DED resistant, highly resistant to elm yellows, moderately resistant to elm leaf beetles (So there could be some defoliation some years) and quite cold hardy. I just read one account claiming it to be somewhat less drought hardy than most elms, so that could factor into your investigation. Overall though, I'd say it's worth a shot. +oM

I think the kitchen wall clock is the bane of my existence. I looked forever for something cool/clever -- perhaps from Ballard Designs -- for my old kitchen. Of course Ballards only thinks clocks should be 19" in diameter, thus those never worked since I didn't have that kind of wall space. I finally broke down & bought a 10" from Target that matched (too matchy) my trim & cabinets. I then finally found one I loved at a consignment shop that matched my Deruta Ceramics!!! Yea!! Now with my remodel we increased the size of the door moldings (Howe) & crown moldings (4") & I don't have room for my wonderful clock -- still no wall space & the space above the door shrank. Oh well, for now the oven & microwave & Oregon Scientific wireless thermometer with integrated clock (always in time with the National Institute of Standards) will have to do. I keep saying I'll put it in the sunroom/breakfast room, but it hasn't happened, yet. Thanks for asking. This is a great thread.

That's a look that you can describe and describe, but only a picture does it justice. I, too, love West Elm. I bought my bathroom lights, bath towel racks, and window hardware there, the Flatstock which is now discontinued. I'm grateful I bought it when I did, 3 years ago, since I've never seen anything I liked better. They were wonderful about exchanges and returns, given the fact I am evidently terribly measuring-challenged. I'd love to see your home. I hope your DH's knee is better. Christine

Why not call Frontier and ask for the settings. This information should have been in the change notice. If they said it would be seamless, it means they are translating your old settings (when received by them) to the new data. In that case, keep the old settings. Maybe this did not happen and you do need new settings. The settings given by Lindoah seem correct. However, settings may vary depending on location and your local phone exchange. I own some Verison stock and this is the story I got. Verison has decided to exit their land line business and concentrate on cellular. Instead of being sold, the land line unit was spun off as a new company named "Frontier". I was issued a few shares of Frontier as a result of the spin-off. I have no idea about the employee situation. If the existing employees in the land line business were retained, I expect the service to be about the same as before. However, if there was a turn-over, I'd expect failings until the new people gets a handle on the business and their jobs. And of course, new management practices can be expected even with the same management personnel as before because different people will be making the decisions. Several of my correspondents who were Verison custoners now have Frontier URLs.
