Hi Everyone,

Cindeea from the Florida forum sent me over. Said you guys are a great bunch. I go the Amaryllis bug the first time I saw someone growing them in the ground in their yard when I first moved to Orlando 7 years ago.

Only now am I looking into collecting. I have only 2 at moment. I bought 2 bulbs at Home Depot about a month ago. A Apple Blossom and a Red Lion. The apple Blossom if finished blooming. The Red Lion will be opening any day now. I rread that I should leave the spent bloom on til it falls off??

So, anyone have good sources for bulbs?? Are seeds easy to germinate??

What is best, ground or pot growing?? The area I have the 2 is where the washer drains. The area is semi-fast draining.

Any info anyone has to share, I would appreciate.

Thanks,

Tropicalfreak
