Help Identifying Crabapple Variety

mlwschultz

We saw this nice crabapple tree walking through the neighborhood. The house is vacant, so we can't ask the owners what variety it is. The tree appears to be a dwarf tree - maybe 8' high - and branches low off the ground. The leaves are bright green with absolutely no marks (blights, etc.), non-lobular, and about 3"-4" long. The fruits are a shiny, waxy brilliant red, at least 1" in diameter, round, yellowish flesh, hanging on long stems like cherries and were excellent eating. Any ideas what variety this could be?
