Soil Recipes?

Hi all,

I was curious what everyone's recipe for making good bamboo dirt. Here is what I used last year to fill a long row behind a retaining wall... Mixed up about 30 wheelbarrows of this, alternating which kind of compost I used... The row is now full of apparently happy Ph. Nuda.

2 bags of cheap potting soil $1.50 each... I'm dirt deprived so have to buy it :-(

1 bag of well composted steer manure ($1) or Mushroom Compost ($3)

1 big shovel full of peat moss ($0.50 in bulk)

1/4 cup of 16-16-16 fertilizer (Don't over do it... None is better than too much!)

$5-7 per wheelbarrowful depending on the compost.

What do you all mix up?

Thanks!
