Took these on Wednesday evening...

This is where I heard/seed the earthworms at work! Joe Pye weed is just poking out of the soil at the back and I will be putting the giant Zinnia, Tithonia and Cleome towards the back too. There is also Monarda 'Garden View Scarlet', Solidago Fireworks, Maltese Cross and I transplanted a few of last years ws'n Shasta Daisy in here about 1 mo. ago and some tall ws'n marigolds a few days ago

Garlic Chives ws'n last year....WAY slow growing. So not like common Chives...

1 of 2 South facing beds...this one has Peony, Chives, Echinacea, Lanceleaf Coreopsis, Shasta Daisy, Clarkia, Snapdragon, Sedum 'Autumn Joy', Blue Flax, Aster laevis, Salvia officinalis a few Scabiosa atropurpurea that wintered over, and lots of self-sown Amaranthus, Verbena bonariensis Moss Rose, Salvia officinalis and Rose Campion seedlings. The north half of the bed is veggies: Lettuce, Raddish, Mustard, and then Tomatoes, Okra and Corn will be on the north border...

I so enjoyed the garden photos, but that last photo of the cat is just too precious!! Now that's a keeper!

That is Charlie from next door. I can't work in the garden without 4 or 5 cats walking behind me. I feel like the Pied Piper LOL!!
I wonder if that unknown plant of mine might be a Veronica spicata? I wintersowed some last year, but lost them as the beds filled in.

Yes, I am sipping hot tea after doing some 'inside' work, after looking at the extended forecast I decided that Spring WILL start on this Sunday. Putting out my flag didn't help keep winter away, but now this is it for me!!!LOL. Don't see too many nights below freezing in the forecast for next week, so I am setting up my garden. Putting out my 'garden art' and benches. This time last year I had two different varieties of daffs in bloom, but right now they are still in bud. I ended up getting just shy of an inch of snow, and it was the heavy stuff, It is pretty much gone now, a few more flurries were hanging on, but nothing really stuck, The sun is actually out now, and I have the urge to get out there!!! The daffs are recovering as they always do, many were flattened out!! I will most likely keep Whiskey, I think after all that, I would worry about him and miss him. He did actually have a vole the other day, freshly caught!!! His skills are probably good due to being a street kitty for awhile. So he will earn his keep. Oh, flowergirl, there is no really helpful therapy for the auction, so you just bid away!! What you have to do is just keep thinking of ways and spots, to add more daylilies to your gardens, and that can be quite the challenge. cindy

Neil - that is quite the set! And what a deal you got on it! $150 off, nice job! However, I wouldn't know what to do with all those attachments! Although I am sure I could find something. As for the drill bits, Rina is correct, they are specialty bits. I actually found mine back by where they sell tile, not by the drill stuff. And mine is like the first picture, not the second. Its circular with a hole in the middle. I keep water on it while drilling, and gentle pressure. You have to be patient! Also, I think the water may be the cause of my drill giving out on me. The chuck was stuck. I could not get it to move for nothing! I tried CLR (I noticed some rust inside of it). I also tried WD40. I could've just replaced the chuck but I couldn't get the hex screw driver down the middle. The chuck was stuck with a bit in it. :-( And MsGreenFinger - thank you for the information! I tried a taste of it alone, and I did not like it!!! So I don't know if I would like anything with just sage (e.g. tea, mouthwash, etc.) but I am going to try it on some pork soon, and maybe even some chicken. :-) Deva

Esther, yes Lakeside Zinger is also in this pot. I have to take a new picture, they have really grown this week. It's just funny that we both have such a pot with STGN. I also planted a few new ones today.Found seven of those pots at the scrap metal dealer and planted Masquerade, Tortifrons and Cameo. They are short pieces of gutter closed at both ends and are standing on small metall feet. They fit perfectly on my new wooden stairs and I will plant more of my minis tomorrow.

Well hello there Linda!! Wondered where you were hiding :D

BTW...if anyone remembers, Charlie's mother was the cat I rescued last 2006. He's a spitting image of her, except she was very underweight when I started feeding her canned Salmon and high caloric kitten food. We had no idea she was pregnant and nursing babies until after I found her a home and sent her away! A few days later we heard kittens crying underneath the storage unit...this was in mid November and cold!! So anyways, my neighbor took in the 6 kittens. All went to good homes and Charlie stayed :D
