I got a Lady Jane last year too and I hope it will re-bloom as pretty as yours. Yours looks peachy colored I guess. All of the ads said the color was a salmon, but mine was more pink. It wasn't really salmon at all. I have photos somewhere. That strange bulb refuses to go completely dormant...it has a green leaf about 3 inches long that looks like it just started growing, but its been like that for about 2 months. Very odd! Only time will tell what it will do now.

Very pretty Jodi! My Lady Jane was one of the first bulbs to blooms from my first order of special bulbs. Hard to believe that was just last spring! I'd never seen anything like it. I love the twirly innermost petals! This is from the second scape! The first scape wasn't nearly as magnificent!

The true color is a pinky-peachy-orange... hard to explain... and last year, it was a lot "foofier"! There were more petals last bloom cycle, if I remember correctly... like Kristi's.

It's a beauty, though... one of the doubles I really like! It does have a slight Zombie look, but I think Zombie is much more handsome!

There are 3 more buds on that scape, so we'll see how foofie she can get! Thanks for all the compliments!

Well, you deserve all the compliments! Great growing, dude. She must really love you :-) I think sometimes we put too much worry into how we care for our bulbs. I mean, you should worry and be cautious as not to damage or cause them to rot but they really do take care of themselves somewhat. For her to store all of that energy just hanging out chillin' in the house with you.....you must just radiate your own sunlight! lol

Mine is blooming right now to. 7 flower. Just amazing. How long can you store the pollen?

I think we do worry too much at times. I think in reality, these bulbs are a lot more rugged than we give them credit for. They can take some abuse and neglect... just not the cold or over-watering. I notice that they seem to do better when I don't hover like a mother hen!

I think pollen can be stored for around a year... if kept in airtight containers in the refrigerator. I'd have to look it up to be sure, but that sounds about right, if memory serves me... unfortunately, my memory doesn't serve me very well, so I could be way off! But I think that's close.

Jodi, Last year I posted a Lady Jane because I didn't know what it was. It had survived from 2001 (the rot year). Later, another came out, and then one I had just bought last year bloomed. Yes, Oh my! I had three blooming at once. Little by little it was realized they were all Lady Janes, but from different growers. The more scapes that were sent up, the more variations of the same plant I had. No two were ever alike. Take a look . . .

The one in the center front is the newer one. They were in the greenhouse, it was late April, the sun was getting brighter, it was warmer, and it was very interesting. Peaches and Cream was even suggested. Sometimes a flower had a lot of white streaks, making it look more peachy. You're in for a treat -- never a dull moment.

Of the doubles, Lady Jane is one of my favorites for its color! There is plenty of variation between the two blooms on the one plant!

This is a repeat bloomer from last year, so I'm really enjoying it! I think it was a bit fluffier last year, but it's still very pretty!

Yep... yours are all like mine! They're such a lovely peachy pinky orangey color! Hard not to like!

Lady Jane has so much variation! Mine from last year looks different too!

I actually have two Lady Jane bulbs, but only the one gave a repeat show so far. I was thinking it's a little early for them to be blooming... but then, I'm not up on who blooms when naturally. I do know that the big Minerva I have usually blooms sometime in February, which I've always thought was strange. Spring blooms to me mean sometime around April or May... but these guys are unique!
