I got some as well from Drippy and had a hard time finding anything about it. Her packet said it was from her garden and it was a Perennial. Why don't you contact her to see what she knows about it. I found some info online. It looks like it is a carnation that's deep pink. I found this from pg 405 of The Garden: An Illustrated Weekly Journal of Gardening in All Its ..., Volume 61 an ebook By William Robinson I did a search with 'Dianthus Jane Seymour'.

Mine were from Drippy, too, and I posted to a thread here in the WS forum where she mentioned it a couple of years ago, but she may not be getting emails from that thread anymore. I couldn't get an email to her because she doesn't have an option to contact her via email...

I did check the resource you provided. It seems this is a pretty old named dianthus!

Thanks for the thread. I rounded up all my carnation/dianthus seeds and planted them. I ran out of potting containers, so I made some Newspaper pots. Here is a great video for instructions.

Hi, I will try to upload a photo of this. It is in a bucket with Gypsophila Covent Garden. To be honest, I can't tell you much about the dianthus other than what you see. I got the seeds in trade myself a few years ago. It's done well for me, although I think this past winter might have done it in. It sprawls in the bucket - in the right spot it might grow to about 1 foot high? I couldn't find any info on the net, either. Hope the picture (if it works) helps.
