This is the 3rd or 4th season I've had Welcome Home. I just got Mellow Yellow this year. Mellow Yellow's color is brighter med yellow, bloom bigger more cup shaped, bush seems bushier, stems stronger, and not as tall as Welcome Home. It may bloom more? Welcome Home is tall, upright, skinnier long stems, blooms smaller more exhibition form, color sometimes is yellow with hint of apricot. I spray, but so far no disease magnets for either one. Japanese Beetles may like the blooms on Mellow Yellow better? I hope this info helps.

Oh..I didn't realize that vera. The area I would plant it is pretty dry. Maybe I should rethink that choice. I don't have a moist area for a plant that large. It is such a pretty plant, I hope I can figure out a way to use it. Thanks vera! :-)

Beautiful pics. I like the things that bloom off and on all sumer. If something was eating my cactus I'm afraid it would be it's last supper.

One Of the things I love about MELLOW YELLOW is that it's cheery coloration does not fade in scorching hot weather. And CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' lol, I am sooo there!
