ws in seed starting trays

I was wondering if anyone else does this. I am talking about the 72 plug trays which have the plastic domes. I have been doing this for several years and have 6 out there already this year. I think it is a habit I brought outside from sowing indoors (I actually still do this with some things). I poke holes in the bottom tray and in the dome and put them under benches and other furniture that over-winters on the deck to keep them from being crushed by snow. It has worked ok. They can be a little high-maintenance when the temps go up (need to be watered a lot).
