First photo - Austin's 'The Endeavour'

I planted this as a tree rose in early August this year. Already it has made great growth and at present has 7 buds. This snap shows its first flower which opened yesterday. I've read that David Austin had great hopes for this rose but it performed rather poorly in trials in England and the company decided to release it only in Australia (in 2006)

Im a sucker for salmon - pink roses and already have Christopher Marlowe and Jubilee Celebration. I've included a snap of C.M.taken this morning for comparison. J.C. should be flowering in a day or two.

Although it's hard to judge at this early stage I feel The Endeavour will be the deepest pink of the three. Moderate scent. Should this rose do well in Australia it could equally do well in similar zones in the U.S.

For the record my other salmon - pink is my favorite (Paul Bocuse)
