HELP sick weeping cherry and dracaena massengeana

I live in an apartment and I have a little potted garden on the back porch. I have healthy thriving black bamboo, tomato, jasmine, palm, and a little spruce seedling. I inherited a weeping cherry and the dracaena last month and they both looked a little dry, but otherwise ok. The dracaena has some brown patches on its leaves but the patches don't feel dried out and they have spread. The cherry's leaves look a bit dried out at first, but now all the leaves on two branches are completely dried out and look dead. Also it looks like there might be a caterpillar eating it but I haven't seen any all summer. They both get plenty of morning sunlight and regular water. I have little experience with these plants. I have always tended to get plants that are easy to keep and I have four indoor plants that have thrived for the past 5 years. I really love these plants but I don't have any idea what to do for them or what not to do! I have no indoor light so I can't bring them in.
