I don't know if it's in the Edmond's catalog, but there's a lot of buzz on garden sites about Lovestruck, a floribunda with a somewhat blowsey, old fashioned look. And it's said to be a very frequent bloomer. I could see that working for you color-wise (apricot pink) and especially as a cottage rose.

The very best Floribunda is an obscure rose called Eutin. Well I shouldn't say obscure as it is carried by 17 US nurseries. Which is amazing for a rose introduced in 1940.

It blooms all the time, doesn't get BS, has wonderful foliage and even JB's don't touch it. The flowers are a very striking red but nearly single. And very hardy. What more could you want in a rose? Grows for me to about 3' and is vase shaped. Zero fragrance which may explain why Japanese beetles avoid it.

You can't go wrong with Julia Child or Living Easy. These are both incredibly beautiful & good bloomers. And as "mysteryrose" mentioned, Lovestruck is very different & very beautiful.

The only one on your list that I have is Sunsprite. The color is a lemony-yellow, it blooms a lot in a flush and then rests a bit, and it smells like lemon. The problems with it are that the individual blooms don't last long and it attracts Japanese beetles like nothing else in my garden. I usually spray, but when I took a break from it this summer Sunsprite was fine, not perfectly clean but it had most of its leaves unlike my other roses. I bought my Sunsprite from Palatine roses, and if they still have it then I'd recommend ordering it from there. The yellows can be a bit tender so it is best to start with a larger plant.

While I can't guarantee it is hardy, I have every reason to think it will be, so I will highly recommend Easy Does It. Just an amazing rose, with a difficult-to-describe colour that changes as the blossom matures, and very healthy and free-flowering all season. And it smells great. I have it by my front door and have had people (even non-gardeners) knock on my door to ask what it is.

And Julia Child, which I also have, is also flawless in my opinion.

Simcan - Do you have to do anything special for winter protection for Julia Child? I'm 5b here as well and the internet puts it in more of a zone 6 rose. It'll be on the southwest side of my house, so may get hit by some cold winds.

There are quite a few Julia Childs planted in public gardens around Illinois, ranging from 5b to 5a in zone. I know they don't winter protect at these gardens, and the JC's always come back with no problem. They may be a little spindly & ratty looking because they're up for grabs to all the deer & bunnies, but with a little private-garden TLC I'm sure they'd look fabulous. Love your name, by the way!

I will be winter protecting this rose (and Easy Does It) this year but only because they are first-year plants for me. Next and going forward they will be on their own; I did some research and (even better, of course) talked to gardeners in my city and am assured Julia Child is perfectly hardy here.

I would go for a dark red or scentless rose because any yellow is going to be decimated by japanese beetles through July and August at minimum.
One I would recommend is "Valentine" you can get it own root from Chamblees and this thing blooms non-stop. Cold hardy here but it is very short only 1-1/2 feet tall max. (I do not cover with anything but a leaf mulch). Also else poulsen which is a single is another cold hardy good bloomer it is an earthkind rose.
Have you looked into any buck roses? They would do well in WI. Carefree beauty is excellent, but you can see many others again, at Chamblees.

I have Bolero (Romantica). It has nice white blooms, good repeat, a haunting fragrance and survives the winter without protection.

We don't get mildew on roses in Wisconsin. Or at least, I don't.
