Hello!!

Let me just say that it has been a pleasure to find this forum and learn from the experts. I have searched and learned so much from all the posts. Thank you so much!

I live in North Alabama 7b, and I'm brand spanking new to growing roses. I'd like to make a rose bed in my backyard which gets plenty of afternoon sun. I picked out three David Austin's that I fell in love with and that seem to have done well for many of you - Young Lycidas, Lady Emma Hamilton, and Jude the Obscure.

Could I have your opinion on a fourth rose that would compliment the other three? (prospero, sweet Juliet, Munstead wood, and tamora were some ideas) Is four bushes really ambitious for a newbie? I was also thinking of going own root if I could find them. From reading it sounds like own roots do well in the warmer zones.

Thanks for any advice!
