Pecan seedlings

The place that we just moved into has a pecan tree with about a dozen seedlings. Would anyone be interested in having them? If there is an interest, I will pot them up for the fall swap (or they could be picked up now). Otherwise, my husband is anxious to mow that area of the yard.

The nuts from those wild trees vary so much that people usually don't plant them. I get hundreds of seedlings every year from my trees and I usually just mow them down.

You should have nice plant by fall move to soil any day after Christmas until January 10th in your zone. That give time be well into rest stage for winter. And time in new planting hole so gain some rooting before buds swell in March.

Daylilies, by the way, are considered to be quite resistant to juglone and it's allelopathic properties. What about a simple case of competition for the 'good stuff' in their mutual root zone (called rhizosphere)?
