has anyone else had posts deleted prior to preview

Has anyone else had a problem or problems with this site deleting your message when you try to preview it?

I have complained several times. The first time they asked me if I had logged in....Duh. You can't get to the 'post a message' page without logging in.

I had it once, but it appeared I had accidentally clicked the box not to receive responses instead of the preview or submit boxes. I hit the back arrow and came back to the message I was typing so was able to save what I had done, then post the message. Kim

This has happened at least 5 times. I would consider it a slip of the finger, but I work all day on a computer and don't have much trouble making ledger entries.

Actually, I was told that it has happened to others.

Kim, you've helped me a lot with my new love, roses. Thanks for all your help.

Sorry to hear so many of you have had bad experiences. I am very new to brugs and I think it is wonderful that you are willing to share your beautiful plants with us newbbies. Please don't stop sharing with the rest of us newbbies because of a few rotten eggs in the basket. I had one person in VA send me some cuttings for postage and I will be ever so grateful. Unfortunatelly for me the cuttings did not root but just the fact that he shared his beautiful plant cuttings with me was great. And if any of you want to share with me at any time just let me know. I promise I will not stiff you. One of these days I will succeed with the brugs!!! So until then, a big thank you for all of you willing to share. - Jardinera

Hi. I too have been getting LOTS of e mails but if I don't recognize the e mail I just delete it without having a look. Generally I have had less than nice GW trade experiences. The *very* nice people in the carnivorous plants forum are OUTSTANDING with the things they trade! All beautiful, healthy and very cool kinds of plants. Two very nice and generous people in the Tropical and Brommie forums have fantastic plants and give far more than what would be normally considered as a trade. More gift giving! :-) Other people ....... I have sent plants o' plenty to several people and although they did e mail me a thank you and how great my plants were and promised me seeds and or plants they had promised .... YEARS later I am still waiting. (Not really) but they did promise many times and there was always some excuse for the delay. I sent someone many very nice orchids, some were even either in spike or bloom, and in return I go a banana plant that was severely damaged admittedly by the sender due to poor technique in digging the pup. It wasn't even the kind of banana I had been promised! :-( I do have lots of plants but have severely limited the people to whom I will send them. I'm not even doing the planty trade thing any more. Just sharing some interesting plants with people who I consider friends. I think other people have had less than great trades too but there are very nice and honest people out there. Sometimes ya just gotta get lucky. Hope you find someone who is honest and you get nice healthy plants from your next trade! C3D

I will "dump my cookies" too. I thought you were throwing up, how naive am I at times.......what I hate most is spending a lot of time dumping my thoughts into a reply and then losing it...because I really do DUMP my ideas too. It never works when I try to remember it the second go. I've gotta reload everything, maybe all those movies?

I usually don't have a problem checking in; except when I am asked to re-do my name etc. I am having difficulties viewing the photos that are occasionally included here. I think it is a problem 'this end' as we have so much anti-spyware on the computer. I had to go to Internet Explorer to see the recent pics . . .which I enjoyed looking at. ;-)

It may have happened to a number of people and it may indicate an issue with the site. The one time it happened to me, that was what it appeared to be. I'm glad I could offer information to help you, Andrea. It makes it all the more fun, doesn't it? Thanks. Kim

It happened to several of my responses a couple of months ago.

I'd hit preview and nothing would happen. Because I have HughesNet and sometimes the satellite is just ?full?, I'd grown accustomed to glitches. I'd open another window and watch the GW window for some sign of recognitions and sometimes it would happen and sometimes not.

It has happened to me twice.
What I do now is after I'm done writing my message I copy it so if it gets lost I can just paste it into a new post and off it goes... No rewriting a long message...lol

It's happened to me many times! Copying the message after I've written it, so if it gets lost I can just paste it, is also what I've been doing.
