hail storm

MiKru

A hail storm tore though Lee County yesterday -- one of the most vicious and sustained hail storms that I've seen in my 5+ years in Alabama.

As you can imagine, my garden is ripped to shreds, especially the cucumbers (they look so sad on the trellis right now), the squash and the melon vines.

Anyone who's been through one of these storms have any advice on what to do next? Just leave the garden be and send positive thoughts its way? Trim back? I think I've got some pretty strong root systems, but the whole area just looks so . . . I guess the word is devastated right now. Or maybe I'm just devastated.
