New Rose Garden

organic_kitten

I have a lot of roses ordered (okay too many and roses ordered) and I am putting in a new rose garden. I know it is tiny compared to the gardens you have, but I am very excited about it.

There is a dying dogwood tree in my yard, with only one living branch. The tree is going to be topped, and I plan to use the trunk of that dogwood as support for a Hadley climbing rose that I have ordered from Vintage Gardens.

Do you think this will work out okay? I have prepared the ground for planting, and this is a picture of the area, taken before the top is removed from the tree. It was also taken before the last foot or so of grass was removed from the side closest to the camera.
