Do once-bloomers repeat a little?

My Albertine is blooming again! This particular plant has been in the ground for five years and has never done this before. It's nothing like the big spring flush but there are many clusters of flowers nonetheless, perhaps a little lost on such a large mass of foliage. Then again, repeat on all my other roses is rather sparse at this time of year, so it's consistent with the rest of the garden. Strangely, my Alba Maxima also produced a few blooms a couple of weeks ago. I thought both were once-blooming.

Is this re-bloom to be expected now that both plants are fairly mature, or is it a freak result of the weather?
