I have a 'carrot' curse on me ... how about you?

When I was younger I had a "wine" curse and couldn't for the life of me buy a bottle of wine that tasted any good. That curse went away, or perhaps Europe finally started to send America some decent wine to compete with the upcoming vineyards in the US.

Then I had a "key" curse and it didn't matter what key I was attempting to use, it would jam, not turn, not work ... luckily there was usually someone around to do the turning. Then that curse went away too, as if it had an expiration date.

But for many years now, I have had the "carrot" curse and that one has held on and on.

It doesn't matter how carefully I prepare the bed, how wonderful the seeds, they simply will not grow for me. My "carrot" curse extends to "radishes" too. I've never seen one come up, or out of my ground though I have good luck with most other veggies. I will probably keep trying!

A curse can't last forever can it?

Have you ever had such a curse?
