' scurfy ' ?????!!!!!!!

i was looking up the meaning of leuc(oseptrum) and les(pedeza), 2 plants high on my list right now, and i stumbled across this word. Well, I NEVER!!!!! maybe you all were raised with this word, but i was not. doesn't it sound like a great synonym for sleezy?scurfy. go figure. how about

"Man, he was the scurfiest guy i ever saw." !! or, when you really need a shower: "boy do I feel scurfy today." !!
