Coffee Plant Waste

I have a source of as much coffee waste as I care to carry home. The local Coffee Plant processes coffee beans by grinding/roasting and the resulting waste from these processes is roasted coffee grounds. I read a lot about using coffee grounds from coffee which has been brewed but cant find any information on using coffee grounds waste from the processing plant directly. I understand that these roasted grounds would be acidic since they have not been brewed. Any feedback on using the grounds in my compost pile and garden would be appreciated.
