I never received an email. Payment has not been debited
from my account either.

I heard that I didn't get my rose. I know they are inundated and it will take time to get it all sorted. It sounded to me like another week would be necessary.

I ordered at the stroke of 9 and haven't heard yet. Hope no news is good news.

I received an email from them Monday. Looks like I'll get two that I wanted and two alternates- better than expected. I have coming: R. moschata 'temple musk', Devoniensis Cl, New Orleans Cemetary Rose and El Dorado Cemetary Red China.

Since you got an email on Monday, maybe that means they will be starting to send them out. I got mine in right on time.......anxious to hear.

The email I got from Vintage after the sale says that they sent the 'sorry to inform you' letters on Wednesday, and will send out the confirmation letters the next week to two weeks after that. Since I didn't get a 'sorry to inform you' letter I figure I just have to wait patiently, I didn't get my order in until 9:30 so there are hundreds of other orders for them to go through before they get to mine. It's like waiting for Christmas morning without knowing what day it is... hehe.

I ordered nearly 2 hours after the get ready, set, GO! time.

You are not the only one, Fogrose. I am still waiting as well. I'm sure we will hear in due course. Given how many orders they got, it is likely to take them a while to work through the list.

Yesterday I got in the mail Schmidt's Buff Giant and Bouquet Tout Fait - 2 that I ordered before the July 14 sale. Maybe they had to get the other orders out of the way first before they could start sending out confirmations from the July 14 sale. Its worse than Christmas - at least we know that comes on Dec.25! But since I didnt get the "sorry to inform you" letter, hopefully I got something! Trying to be patient and not check the email every hour.......

I got my "sorry" notice early, too. I think it's because I had only ordered one rose with one alternate. It sounds like mendocino_rose only ordered one as well because she wrote that she didn't get "my rose." It was relatively easy for them to determine that my order and alternate were both spoken for before the 9:04 time stamp when mine went in.

For those who ordered many with many alternates, it's probably going to take them some time to cross check all the orders and see which roses go where. It must be mind boggling to shuffle back and forth between the orders trying to figure out which person ordered which rose and/or alternate before someone else.

Last night I had a dream that I heard from Vintage, and that I am going to get 2 of the 5 roses I ordered. I actually only ordered 4, but that is a dream for you.

In my dream I was planning what to plant in an enclosed garden area off to the side of the house. Now this garden area does not actually exist, but I recognized it from previous dreams. I remember wondering why I had neglected it so much in recent times, and when I woke up I thought, I guess I haven't dreamed myself there for a while.

Maybe I'll plant my new Vintage roses there.

*Last Night I Had a Dream ....*

What a lovely way to get direction/inspiration as to where to plant your roses. I would absolutely plant them there if it is in any way reasonable or practical.

More Than You Know - I just wanted to tell you that there is a novel by Beth Gutcheon with your name, a dreamy, mysterious ghost story that I just loved. It takes place in Maine. What an interesting coincidence it would be if that was where you lived yourself!

As for planting the roses in the enclosed garden, that space doesn't really exist. It is a dream garden in a completely different landscape than the place where I actually live, a hybrid of a place I lived in childhood and garden spaces I have seen since then. Perhaps I will create it some day, but not here.

I will say that a lot of my garden inspiration is imagined landscape crossed with actual gardens I have seen.

My planting dreams are usually exhausting. They go on and on with complications. Then I wake up and it begins to come true. I still have 92 ramblers in five gallon pots.

Got a response yesterday. Got 2 that of my first choices (Cinderella and Emilie Verachter) and 2 second choices (Miss Helyett and White Cap.) Didn't get La Maculee or Agathe Incarnata.

Mendocino Rose, just planting 3 roses exhausts me, maybe because of all the prep. I cannot imagine 92 ramblers. Though I must admit, I have been thinking a lot about ramblers this past year or two.

I heard from Vintage today! I got 10 out of the 25 I listed. Was hoping for more but thats almost half. I didnt get my top favorites but still got some nice roses and as there was only one of lots of these - I didnt hold out that much hope I would get all. But......I got some and will have some Vintage roses to grow and love. More people should be hearing some news now........I did order a few more that were available and hopefully they will be added to the list. My pot ghetto is overflowing as it is. Hope everyone got some of what they want!
