Keep in mind that, once you see rust bubbles, there's more rust you can't see behind it. sdello's idea is a good one; there are other products out there which will treat rust and convert it to something (more) inert. A good local auto-parts store should be able to show you some alternatives. Another thing to do would be to check the weep holes at the bottom of all the doors -- use a thin dowel or something else which can open up the holes so water can drain out, or you'll be looking at even more rust down the line.

My mom taught me how to deal with rust stains when I was a kid ( I have loved laundry since I was in diapers). Simply, wet the rust stains throughly with lemon juice, then rub table salt into the stain. Place the stained item directly in the sunshine, preferably laid flat out in the grass. Give it a few hours or so. You might have to repeat it once more, depending on how badly the stains are set, and how heavy the stain is. I have never had this NOT work, even on some old clay dirt stains. Commercial rust removal products do work, but I have less experience with those on individual stains, only whole loads of rusty whites.

Rhizo_1, you're right on the money. We had a warm and very rainy spring this year. Seems the most effective treatment is a pruning and mechanical removal of infected leaves to prevent reinfection in subsequent seasons. That should be fun and cheap :/. Thank you both for feedback! Thanks for the tips. I actually live in Quebec (5min accross the bridge) it's just easier for people to identify with Ottawa especially if they arent from Canada. I hadn't posted any pics of my weeds. I definately have some Nutsedge popping up here and there and what i suspect to be some type of clover. I have been using concentrated Weed-B-Gon and spot spraying some of the clover and other leafy weeds. I've done 2 applications so far within the last month. Seems to be working well. Although it leaves the grass slightly discolored for a few weeks. I was going to ask about that as well due to not being able to find any fungicides or even Moth/Grub worm fertilizers at Canadian Tire / Home hardware etc. I seem to have a Moth problem in my lawn as i see them quite a bit. What do you do to combat the weeds/pests? Also, since your also from Canada, what fertilizer replacement are you using since we can't get our hands on Milorganite anymore. I spoke to an employee at Ritchie's Weed and Feed in Ottawa and he told me that there is a replacement for Milo that they sell called Nu Gro Organic Fert (9-3-4) that is made from Bio Solids and has Iron. I havn't tried it yet but i'm hoping it's as good as Milo. Seems to be our only Organic Fertlizer option thats slow release and has iron. Oh wow! KBG!? This is one of the good ones in terms of weather/disease resistence from what i understand? So does that mean that when it comes time to overseed i should find a KBG only mix? Or would the typical Scotts/GolfGreen overseed be fine?
