Potting Up Small Violets

floridabear

This is short and to the point. I only have 4in plastic pots..I dont have anything else. I have like 9 small violets in the small 'solo cups', and they need to be potted up. They are standards, not minis, and they have out grown the cups..2-3 oz size. I have bought Shultz' AV soil...and I have the 4in pots. Can I pot up to that big of a pot from the small cup? OR is it better to keep them in the cups till I can get a hold of 2"-3" in pots, somehow? Thats it. Am I risking rot to much by potting up to that size?,..or should I leave them in the cups where they are not growing at all,but they are not rotting,or blooming either.Or can I go up to a 4" pot?
