A Few Questions

Hi All!

I'm a complete newbie, actually less than a newbie, I know nothing about growing roses. I typically stick to tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, etc.

My Grandmother passed away last year and she had a rose bush that she cared for in front of the house. I have no idea what kind of roses, they are a beautiful peach color.

I would like to take some cuttings from it and grow a new bush. I took a stem tonight and am soaking it in water. I'm sure I am doing this incorrectly, could anyone steer me right on how to root cuttings and how to grow it in a container? I have a reasonably large (16 inch) container but I am not sure if it is too small.

Finally, I've been googling away for a little while now, and found something I that I think is pretty neat, a rose called a 'Black Baccara'. Are these easy to grow? I may order a bush if I get confident enough.

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me.
