Please help ID mislabeled roses

This rose is supposed to be Francis Meilland but it does not look like my other Francis Meilland. Though the color is similar, the swirls in the center is nothing like the correct Francis Meilland.

Here is another mislabeled rose. Supposed to be What a Peach Shrub Rose but it looks nothing like it.

I don't know about the first, but the second really looks like Cinco De Mayo to me.

It is in full shade till 1 pm, then in dappled shade. No direct sun at all... It had the "frostiness" when leaves were just emerging, but now it is green... I'll try to put the pot next to my blue Hosta and take a picture tonight...

I have both Broadway and Waiheke and it doesn't look like either of those. Along with the scalloped edges of Waiheke there is a definite lighter petal reverse, does this rose have that? Can't really tell from those photos but it looks more solid salmon colored.

I agree with Marlorena - I would put it in a pot in a nice sunny location - once you have a better idea of it's habit & how you like it, you can plant it in the ground next spring (or not). Either way, it's a fun gardening experiment! But, if you really don't want a pink rose (since you were shopping for a white rose!), I also think it's totally reasonable to return it - just don't wait too long, as the sooner you bring it back the more likely they are to take it.

Ha Joey! I just saw this and thought Nearly Wild. They have it in the bin at Menard's every year. However, Dingo, your bud looks tiny and rounded compared to the elongated deep pink bud on HMF. Do you still have the original labels that were on the bags? I have been able to ID my mis-named ones by looking them up in the Weeks' catalogue.

Oh, thanks, racin_rose. The coloring does look a lot like Cinco De Mayo but I do not think my rose has as many petals as Cinco De Mayo unfortunately.

New roses may not have as many petals as mature plants. Take a look at the next set of blooms. But, definitely NOT What A Peach! ;-)

This is the only bloom my super juvenile Cinco has had so far. My camera makes the color look funny, only reason I said something though is because that's what the buds looked like.

Whatever yours are, they're pretty anyway!
