Northerb Red Oak & yellow leaves

colcol

The Northern Red Oak I planted early May has had yellow leaves all summer. Are they supposed to have yellow leaves, or could it be the soil condition? We have alkaline soil and I read they like acid soil. The wind has been mighty tough on it and it's lost leaves, but so far it's hanging in there. I don't notice new leaves, tho. Anyway I was just wondering if yellowish leaves were normal. I also heard to make soil more acid, put coffee grounds in it? What do you think?
