Update on composted Dog Manure

As some of you may know, I compost my dog's manure right in my compost bin. I turn the pile to make sure most of the DM is in the middle of the pile and it heats up to the proper temperature. This past weekend, I emptied out part of one bin to let it the compost age more in another and it was nothing but loamy, earthy-with lots of earthworms at the bottom-compost. I used last year's crop up during planting season. In my experience, if your dogs are healthy and true house pets as my spoiled Brittany's are, there should be no problem in properly composting their manure. The DM seems to disappear very quickly when I put it in my pile to begin with and I make sure there is plenty of plant material in there to begin with. Just thought I'd share my findings.
