What kind of Oak is this?

I have this volunteer/squirrel planted oak in my yard. I'm afraid it might be a variety that won't do well here as we have very alkaline soil. It's about 8 ft. tall now and not exactly in a perfect spot, but it's OK. The leaf on the right/top* is from my Shumard Red Oak, which does very well in alkaline soil. I just cut down a volunteer red oak on the side of my house and the shape was almost identical to the Shumard. The one on the left/bottom* is the unknown. I've compared it to Burr Oak, but it's leaves are quite a bit smaller, though they are similarly shaped. I would love to have a burr oak, but am beginning to doubt this is one. Any ideas?
