Yes I have a lot more to sow too but the weather has been so awful I didn't get them done. I do a lot of the sowing outside so when the patio is snowcovered it doesn't get done. I hope to do some more today.

Oh that is exciting you aren't all that far from me. I'm z5 in oh. Congrats on the sprouts, don't worry about them either even if they don't make it I find there are many more seeds in there that will try again.

It's been too bad out for me even to be interested, but now that I see the green wave is coming my way, I've got to go out, so I can report back.

Yesterday I had to chip at the ice to get my car out, I mean ice on the ground. ugh. one hour and a half. that was more work than I've had to do in other storms.

Not 5 minutes after I finished the young man from upstairs came down to borrow my snow shovel. Again. 5 major storms and he hasn't figured out that in NJ in the winter one needs a snow shovel. What ticked me off is that he watched me struggle for one hour and a half - I was making a LOT of noise - and did not come down and offer help. (I'm 62).
Not that I can't do it myself, I can and do - but someone who is 25 and healthy should offer to help, that is my philosophy, that is what I would do, and did do when I was that age. and I told him so.

The benefits of growing on - I can tell the young what they should do. :)

Well today I got some more sprouts! The Tradescantia spiderwort and Montauk daisy are also sprouted. Keep the green wave coming!! Yahoo!

Hi! I'd also like to add some of my sprouts today: hollyhock, radio extra calendula, rose campion, linaria, baby's breath, stocks, ageratum, sweet william and bachelor's buttons! And yesterday, I got my malva zebrina sprouts! I am in zone 8... yay!!!

I have been watching everyone's posts on sprouts with jealousy :) This weekend is going to be in the 40's. A heat wave for Ohio. I know I will be inspecting all those containers.

congrats though. It is exciting and gives us all hope for spring and the melting of the mounds of snow.

Well congrats to everyone and now I am sitting here hoping that my sprouts don't turn out to be weeds or something! Don't you hate when you nurse what you think is a baby sprout and it turns into a weed!!! I've had that happen a couple of times too. Last year what I thought was goatsbeard turned into lawn grass!!!

I was shocked to see that I too have sprouts... well one jug. Must have been that 35F heat wave! It is siberian wallflower, which seems appropriate. Our snow is gradually melting and it is supposed to be in the 40s this weekend, so maybe I'll get some more.
