I had a couple of pink flamingos in my yard for awhile. I named them 'Tongue' and 'Cheek'. They finally died. I think of,embarrassment.

HI Tracy! You and I are about the same zone..! I have the same problem- BUT- I can tell you that what you have- i dont.. and what I have, you don't!!! Here's what I have that is either STILL blooming now or just about to open- hot colors: orange & red asiatic lillies..( when they open- i'll post) Monarda- red columbine- still going like mad! stella d'oro daylily just opened. I htink you have this. Pinks/purples salvia ( garden sage jsut starting to fade and salvia ( may nigh tor somethign similar) is just coming into full glory pink monarda dianthus juuuustt starting to open lavendar ( two pathetic blooms on a pathetic plant- but time wise this should be perfect) Sea Thrift- pink Garlic chives/onion chives. ( mine havent' bloomed yet but some of the neighbors are in bloom now!) blue spider wort... easy to grow,spreads a bunch, critter resistant and actually is BLUE! looks great with orange! Mine is JUSSST about to open.. it may even have one flower open today. it can do a wide variety of sun & shade.. but it does need some shade.. not full sun white- in my rock garden i have a TON of daisies that spread like wildfire astible is also about to pop.. and as for May- you GOTTA get some daffodils.. I JUST planted soo many this winter- we had a warm front and someone gave me them so i hurried to dig them in in February!!! and I had over 200 daffodils in April through end of may! ps- I also plan on getting alium for sure- but that not a late spring bloomer for us... it would be fading now I beleive.My sis's is fading for sometime now.

Tom, I was trying to say the Chinese are entering the "carrier" game a little late. Carriers will be the next battleships to go extinct. Too big, too clumsy, too slow, too obivious and the perfect psychological target. As for WW2, both sides made so many mistakes that I sometimes think pure luck determined the winner of that one. The Chinese will not crush us economically because they would be shooting themselves in the foot. Why destroy their best customer when that customer is faithfully paying their bills with worthless promissory notes (dollars) and promising to buy even more stuff if the price is always cheaper than it could be bought elsewhere? Why would China want Taiwan (buncha rebels), Japan (Fukushima and more earthquakes), Australia (and more rebel types) and depleted oil wells. I hate discussions like this. I can't type as fast as I can think and it all has already been said much more eloquently by so many others. Think I'll just plant something tomorrow and let the really smart leaders figure out what I really think. Maybe Ricky gave me some ideas of what to plant. Medicinal uses only of course.

Makes sense, OB2B! Annkh, you can do this. Keep in mind I tore things out and added drawers to existing cabinets. It'll seem easy after all the stuff you've done! Today is a HUGE day. Hanging my kitchen cabinets and clearing off a counter has given me the boost to start things inside. The space is incredible. One thing moved means 30 other things need to be moved, and the only way to get them out of the way is to install them. So... I've saved and saved and accomplishing this today (if everyone comes like they've said they will!): I have 2 fellows coming to take all my building and hardscape materials back to the barn. All I'll have left is a place to build another garden bed and the materials for that. I'll be able to see my house. If you picture HD's lumber and paving materials area, mine puts theirs to shame for so much stuff packed into a small space. Then we have the back porch, but that's another day. I have H4H coming to take away two, too big pieces I've agonized over. I'm going to give them all the antique doors I bought before I realized my doors were 32" not 30. Other crap, too. With the advent of all this space, I've consolidated furniture and stuff into the den. My friend and her son are coming to sand the LR ceiling and paint it and the walls. I will have 2 rooms in my home painted. The nice thing is that it'll be a clean slate, where I can put just the appropriate furniture and even hang things on the walls. I am SOOOOOOO excited. Now I need to get off the computer and continue to move things. I like things to be ready so people can go to work. When I have enough to pay someone, I'm not going to waste time and $$ with them moving or cleaning. I'll post befores and afters if I can, later!
