Well, I accidentally sunburned the tiny plants I got from Heirloom less than two months ago, but they have new growth and one even has a new bud.

Rita, your bed looks very pretty and healthy. I am very pleased with my Heirloom bands this year. Last year or the year before - I was not. There was a post a couple of weeks ago on the subject of Heirloom bands and I posted a picture of my little thriving pots. Here they are a couple of weeks later, still doing wonderfully:

The only one that is doing less than spectacularly is Welsh Gold; it's a little sluggish so far.

I'd be interested in finding out more about Magnificent Perfume. The propaganda makes it sound wonderful.

I've been very happy with my bands from Heirloom so far. They're a little over priced, but you get them on sale and they're no better or worse than some of the other acclaimed vendors' bands.

texaslynn - Those are very nice. They must have gotten alot of growth on them as mine were much smaller when I reveived them. I have gotten 3 or 4 orders from Heirloom roses. They are almost always tiny but they grow.

I have Sunrise at Heirloom that grew very, very well.

I have Will O' The Wisp too and its the smallest of all last years Heirloom purchases. Going to take another year to get going.

I had Magnificent Perfume. Grew very well but it bloomed really white for me while I thought it should have some pink in it. I didn't want a white rose and gave it away.

Thanks for the info! I am excited about the babies (it's always exciting to get a new rose and see how it does). Honestly, after last year's experience (it may have even been the year before), I almost didn't order any more from Heirloom soooo I guess I'm glad I did! We'll see how they do through the summer!

The mini rose in the middle if the picture is Hot Tamale with Black Jade, also a mini, on the right. Those are in front of the bed with the Heirloom roses, not in the same bed as there is a path between them.

Also, I wanted to add that I am dissapointed in the color of Will O' The Wisp. I thought it would be really vibrant but I find it much paler than I had thought. I wish the color was deeper. Its in the middle of that bed and I have decided that I will move it and put something else there.

Did I see Star of the Nile in that bed? I had that one last year and it perished over the winter. :o( It was my fault though, not Heirlooms. All my baby bands from Heirloom from last year have bunches of buds on them and are doing remarkably well.

No, Star of the Nile is not in that bed. Its in the bed in front of that bed, along with New Orleans, Scarlett Velvett and Louise Clements. Also some other shrub roses such as Golden Zest, Citrus Splash, Greetings, and Plum Frost. Mine (Star of the nile) is not in bloom yet or I would post a picture. You can be sure I will post some when its in bloom.

Roses in that bed you asked about include Well Being, Wonderstripe, Will O' The Wisp, Sunrise at Heirloom, Memories, Lady In Waiting, Kateryna, Orange Waves and I can't remember right now what else was in there.

I don't know why I couldn't remember last night but also in there are Quietness and Country Life.

I was looking at them all again today. Since I am getting even more Heirloom bands as I purchesed yesterday, I will have the option of keeping this grouping the way it is or moving something else in after the newbies have grown some. I already know that I want to move Coutry Life as I have it directly next to Lady in waiting. The colors and shape of the roses are far too similiar to look good side by side but I didn't realize they looked so much alike when I planted them last year.
