I don't think a deck is needed. The downward pointing dual exhaust burns the grass to the proper length.

Nothing neater than a "Blue oval" V8 LT. I worked on a many of SBC and have never seen one with the dist. in the front and the oil filter at the front side of the block. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe he had to pull the chevy not enough torque! hee, hee!!!

I saw ,one time at a tractor pull, an old Panzer tractor with a Ford 60 h.p. V/8 engine stuffed under the hood! Did wheel stands-so it did! Won its class! (no doubt!) If i remember correctly, that was east of Pittsburgh, around New Centerville, Pa.

So this is where the "horsepower wars" finally got us, I guess we will be seeing V8's in the Big Box tractors next season.

I'm thinking, a "nitrous" kit might give it the edge. ... ya never know, what the competition might be doing.

I'm with rcmoser!!!! Not a Chevy Small Block. Ford all the way. Looks like an old 351 CID to me.

I had a picture of a 8N with a blown flat head in it, Got of the net from a car show somewhere in the Carolina's (lost it when computer crashed)(anybody seen it????). That baby was sweet. I can't count the valve cover bolts to make out the ford V8. Maybe be a winsor.

Either way it still a neat LT for somebody thats got more money than brains or alot of fab time with parts. The oil filter location is hard to over look IMO. Trying to figure out on the Internatiional whats sticking out below the headers???

Well, if he did install the front-mounted distributor on his small block Chevy, he must have gotten the "deluxe kit" that also "un-siameses" the center exhaust ports.

broke not a very sharp eye and good point. No dought it a ford. Guess now all we got to bicker about is SBF or cleveland. Heck it could be a 400 modified. I suspect it a 302 due to the numbers produced.
