I have beem reading this forum for a year now, especially the craftman posts and just had to join. I own a GT 5000 and have used it for a year. Cheesy is a good word for craftman engineering. My 48" deck loads up faster than any deck I have ever used, not to mention how dang heavy the deck is to move out and clean! The bagger has such a narrow throat that even dry grass plugs it up. It has become a completely useless accessory that I never use, too much frustration. One of the most useless saftey features, is the reverse key position, you must have your key in that position to mow backwards. What's the point? And the steering linkage is so poor, my old "73" Murray tracked a straighter line. Is this craftman "bashing" Nope, this is a sad commentary on Corporate culture cheapening products, with branded names and increasing profit margins at the expense of consumers. Not all companies are following this line and that's why there is a quality spread in the market place. I'm responsible for being stupid and buying a sub-standard machine based on price, and that's the only reason these machines sell. This spring I will purchase a "quality lawn tractor". and I can't wait to dump the Crapman!!

It's a pretty simple task. You just remove the old orifices, check whether it is the one you expected, and if necessary install the correct new ones. I think the orifices are labelled with their respective opening sizes. But I am not 100% sure about that. You could ask your dealer if he has an LP conversion kit in stock and can take a look at the markings on the orifices; or maybe he can send you a copy of the instructions. You can ask a service technician to come out and remove the orifice for inspection. That would tell you whether the range was correctly converted. It's a really easy job, but the technician will probably still charge you about 30min of labor. You can also do it yourself, if you feel comfortable with this type of work. But you'll need an appropriate socket set. It's a little hard to reach otherwise. A wrench will most definitely not work, as I found out the hard way. When replacing the orifice, you want to make sure it's tight, but you don't want to overtighten it. I think, all of the orifices have the same size thread. So, it is also theoretically possible that somebody messed up and didn't match the correct size orifice with the corresponding size burner head. Maybe, they accidentally swapped orifice sizes around. Again, something that is easy to verify. All of the technology is super simple; any service technician can do the work, even if they are not specifically trained on Bluestar. But this is the reason why Bluestar recommends one of their trained technicians verifies everything is done correctly, when the stove gets delivered. Mistakes can happen. I never had to do the actual conversion on the model that you have, so I forgot whether you also need to change the orifice for the oven burner and/or the broiler. Also, I don't know if the gas pressure regular needs to be adjusted. That's commonly needed for most gas appliances. But if you end up buying the LP conversion kit, it would come with appropriate instructions.

Bought our 30" oven and range in January and have never looked back. The oven is still 30x30 and can take full commercial cookie sheets. Everything else I understand takes 1/2 sheets. At the back left of the stove inside is a vent which sometimes causes some lightening of bread and cakes if you are doing larger quantities. A shifting of the pan about 3/4 way through your cooking cycle and you don't see any difference at all. My wife and I love the oven. I don't have the double oven so I can't give you any feed back other than to say I believed it to be a supplemental unit with less capability than the larger oven. That was told to me up front. We didn't have room for the 36" or the 48" so we put in the size we took out. We've done a lot of cookies for us and the neighbor boys, you know bribes for getting things done (it works on 20 year old sons as well). We've never had a batch turn out with mishaps. Just haven't. We've had ours 3 1/2 months now. We are waiting for a newly designed wok-ring. The standard ring doesn't work on the 30" range as it does on the larger models. We'll wait. We haven't been disappointed in any part of our deal yet. Hope this helps some.

clinresga, like mara, "I'm a very grateful and happy owner" but not of a Maytag. I chose the Whirlpool Cabrio. I'll admit, I was in a crunch and didn't give myself much time to research for a new washer....I did later tho and the more I read the more confused I got! :o My first purchase was a Cabrio HE TL 6400 model. Pros: LARGE capacity (4.5 ft), Energy Star rated. Cons: Didn't clean my clothes. Nothing else mattered. Lint, grass, dirt "stuck" in creases, "sweaty" smell in work clothes, I could still smell my husband's cologne, stains that my 12 yo KA washer removed, the Cabrio 6400 did not. Because of room constraints, I couldn't use a FL but after reading all the issues with stiff and smelly laundry, mold/mildew issues and my mother's dissatisfaction with hers, I wouldn't choose to go that route even if I could. Lots of people love them tho and feel their clothes are quite clean with a FL! I'm convinced that the low water use in the HE machines just isn't enough to properly clean and rinse clothes. From what I've read, the constraints on water will be even less in the future. Returned the Cabrio 6400 for the 6200 (with agitator). I've only had it a couple weeks. So far there are no negatives. It has an "auto" water level (fills with more water than the HE) or, if I'm not happy with the auto level, I have my choice of 4 other water levels. It has nearly all of the 6400 model control panel options plus one that the 6400 didn't have....a delay wash. LOVE that! Might not be an option everyone would use but I do :) I spent $100 and purchased the Lowes 4 yr extended "bumper to bumper" warranty. It starts after the 1 yr manufacturer warranty. While I still had and the HE TL, I spilled printer ink on a good shirt I was wearing. Pre-treated, pre-soaked but the ink didn't come out. It lightened it but still wasn't wearable. After getting the new washer I gave it one more shot before making the shirt a "grunge" item. The 6200 got 95% or more of the left over ink stain OUT. Only one small spot remains and it's so light, it's not noticeable. In fact, today I wore the shirt to town to shop and have lunch :) Good luck with your decision. It's a tough one! Monica
