Oh Vissara, I agree with you sooooo much about KOKO LOCO. The colors of the blooms are just awesome!!! Doggone thing is so exciting; when I look at the blooms on mine it makes my socks roll up 'n' down--all on their own accord!!!!! he,he :-D I live in Spokane which has a semi-arid climate, so there hasn't even been a smidgen of blackspot on it--even though this spring it was rain, rain, rain again, and again, and again. Felt like a webfoot there for awhile--an Oregon duck again. ha,ha. ;-) That went on for what seemd like forever. Course it's supposed to reach 85 F today. :P Where do you live in Oregon?? I was born in Gold Beach. Such a lush and beautiful area. I miss the Pacific ocean there and in Southern California. But I'm not complaing. I LOVE Spokane!!! Thanks for photos and the fun!

I'm in Portland, and I agree with you,this May I thought we were gonna drown lol. and that's not actually blackspot, which I agree Koko Loco has been very resistant too, also reacted pretty well to weed killer overspray....

I was also pleasantly surprised by this rose. Unusual color; very pretty. Hope she gets bigger!

I was out of town when my mine bloomed, and it is a tiny bush. However it had 8 blooms on it. I saw the tail end of them, and at 100 degrees for the last two weeks I didn't see much let me tell you, but the bloom form was really nice and the "after" color was interesting.....

I am planning on buying koko loco next spring, i wanted to know from those of you that has her already if she blows quickly once opened? also does she make for a good cut flower? I love the unusal coloring but i want a rose that is gonna hold her petals a little while. I have limited space amoung my 100 roses and am trying to get as much info on koko loco as possible.

Mine blows very fast; the lovely chocolate color and tight bloom is gone in the afternoon if she opens in the morning. However, it does that ruffly fade-out to lilac and hangs onto petals for a couple more days. My plant is still very immature (first year), so that could certainly be a factor. I'm still VERY impressed with its unique color and it's definitely a keeper for me.

I just got KL and I'm in love with it! Mine last a long time on the plant, at least 3 or 4 days. I haven't cut any to bring in so I don't know about vase life.

My bush is a chucky, little round ball that's blooming it's head off right now. You'd think it would have noticed the 105-109 temps we've had for the last few days. The flowers fade very quickly for me also, but I don't mind the lavender. My daughter has no interest in roses at all, but she really likes this one because "it's weird." lol. She cut a few chocolate blooms yesterday, but did so to dry them. I haven't cut any for a vase because the stems really haven't been long enough. Maybe when it grows some more.

I bought my koko loco as a bareroot this spring and love it! It's a great performer and has been very blackspot resistant...which tends to be a big problem in my garden!

Agreed. Heat resistant. Blackspot hasnt found it at all. Short stems, small round plant, but neat blooms. I LOVE the color of the buds as they are opening. I think it has about 10 blooms on it as we speak. If it gets bigger and continues to offer up lots of unique blooms then we will be very happy with this rose. It is BTW in full sun, amost all day long, and has no heat stress showing at all. Tropicana, next to it is sunburned pretty badly right now. HECK most of mine are showing some sunburn!
