Does anyone have ideas about what may be wrong with my violets. The leaves toward the middle are stunted and brittle. The flowers are stunted and brittle, too. The bud stems are so short and sharp curved that they have a tendency to bloom under the leave. The Pinkish and the white flowered violets are supposed to be large flowers. The blue one is from plants of the 1950's. I have several of them and would really hate to loose them. Most of the problem plant leaves turn under. A very few seem to be ok. one mini is turning up. They are about 12 inches from a south window. Had read on a post from 2006 maybe it would be as simple as changing the soil. Also had read maybe they are in too bright light.

Wondering if I should move them to the basement, under lights, where it is cooler and damper. Hope it is not mites.

Anyone one know of any new treatments for cyclamen or broad mite?{{gwi:364917}}
