Shredded leaves from last fall has Bermuda grass growing on top

I shredded and vacuumed my oak leaves last fall, and I just piled them up on the edge of my woods. I'm getting ready to plant my fall garden and was planning to use the leaves for mulch. I went out there and The leaves are covered with Bermuda grass!

I have a big tractor and I can turn them over with the plow and let them sit a while or all winter. Should I just buy some mulch and keep turning the leaves for next spring or what? I don't want to add more Bermuda grass to my garden.
