Think it may have gone own-root, but not sure as I did not pull away any of the wet valley soil, about 2 yr. ago, when I brought it home. It was in bad shape but bloomed for me well then. My soil is pretty good sandy and I use alfalfa every year. The little red ( I hope) are coming from what looks like the budhead. I am not going to dig around in it yet to disturb.

Hi Pattie, I had the same idea years ago, although I stuck to just roses with "Peace" or "Piece" and were somehow related to the original. That includes roses with names such as Dame de Coeur, which is also called Röd Peace (Red Peace), and is not only a direct descendant, but is the reverse parentage of the US version of Red Peace (Peace X Independence). As Mike stated above, the rarer ones are Lucky Piece and Peaceport, which are okay roses. Flaming Peace, Love & Peace, Glowing Peace, Desert Peace, Chicago Peace and Golden Peace are all much better roses, as are both Red and Röd Peace. I gave up looking for Tony Peace, another sport, since it seems to be only available from Trewallyn Nursery in Australia. Pink Peace and Lasting Peace are also good roses.
