I finally have blooms now what do I do?

Well, after freaking out for the better part of last month (you can tell this is my first time growing roses;)about the aphids infestation. After 50 ladybugs, I have one beautiful rose and 12 buds about to bloom between my 3 containers! They are Easy Livin' floribunda. So my question is, now what do I do? Do I cut the spent blooms right below the bloom? And I am supposed to cut off the old wood (the wood that the bush had when I first planted it) and do I cut it all the way to the top of the soil? Thanks guys! This is so rewarding and I appreciate everyone's help!
