ok,

i'm new here and i would like to introduce myself first and foremost!

my name is jeff steelman and i live in south jersey.

i am a some what experienced beginner with vegetable gardening, lawn care, and ornamental gardening.

i have three kids and am married for twelve years now.

i own my own home and i am ready to send this darn tractor on a one way trip to mars!!!

ok, now for my problem

i have a 42" 20hp murray tractor with a briggs and stratton engine that fires up great but the fuel filter is always empty and once i put the blades in gear it goes for about ten minutes and then putters out.

i cleaned the carb and changed plug.

oil is fine.

is there a fuel filter hidden on these darn things that is hidden?

what else could make the fuel filter go dry?

any help would be immensely appreciated!!
