We got 1 more package in today, and that was from sassybutterfly_2008.

I spent the day doing all of my chores. I cleaned the house did laundry went grocery shopping. I know for sure 1 more package is out there and as soon as we get it, hopping it is tomorrow, I will get busy. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Well I was only expecting one package today but instead we got 2, which is great. I am assuming that is the last of the packages that are in transit. If you have a package in transit please let me know, otherwise I plan to start tonight actually here in a few minutes. I will check this thread throughout the evening, and of course I will be checking my email. Thank you EVERYONE for joining in!!

Scott- I think i've got a little better hang of this Surround. I know i was too late on the apricots and they got dinged VERY early by PC. It must have been a very early hatch of them or something, but i know it had to be them because the markings are very noticeable. We had a top 10 record warm March/April followed by some real cool late April/early May and now its jumped to summer so PC should be all over. I don't think i have much issues with CM/OFM. I do have a horrible time with 2 beetles (Rose chafers/Japanese beetles) which will start coming in about 2 weeks. So i'll have to keep sprays up since they feed on foilage and fruit. I have noticed that Surround doesn't seem to adhere as well to nectarines/sweet cherries/plums? The peaches seem to get coated nicely and i'm guessing its the fuzz, same with the apricots. I've put a heavy layer on my Superior plums anyways which get blasted by PC and beetles. One of my plums i have just left as a trap crop because it has set very few fruit and they aren't that great to begin with. I never had to touch all 3 apple trees with Surround because they sized up enough during that cold spell so i could go right to bagging. Looks like a perfect crop of them if i can keep the tree rats away. Maybe i should be adding an oil? Apricot Superior Plum Alderman Plum (PC damage)

Frances, if they didn't bother to cancel the stamps, I didn't bother to use the included ones. I figure with all these seeds, you'll want to trade for others. Some seed packs were heavy! Glad they've arrived. If after 2 weeks someone still doesn't have a package, please let me know. I saved some seeds for that very issue. Thanks! Oh, and you think your package has a lot of seeds? I had all of them in a file cabinet drawer at one point. It was full to the top.

Blue Skies is a fairly new community park that's about 5-10 minutes from my house, so if you already have a route to Longmont planned out you can probably use that and just change the last few turns. The park is at the corner of Mountain Dr. and Turin Dr. in the middle of a newer neighborhood called Mountain Meadows. Skybird is right - it will probably be missing from many paper maps, but the streets are listed on Google Maps and MapQuest and most recent paper maps. The Google satellite view is outdated, but Mapquest has a more up to date aerial view that shows the park. We will be in the shelter near the parking lot that is marked B on the map below http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Silt&1s=CO&1y=US&1l=39.548599&1g=-107.655602&1v=CITY&2c=Longmont&2s=CO&2a=1520+Mountain+Dr&2z=80503&2y=US&2l=40.140443&2g=-105.173569&2v=ADDRESS#b/maps/m:hyb:14:40.141443:-105.17315::::::1:1:::::::::/l::Interstate+25+N:Longmont:CO:80504:US:40.156185:-104.978732:address:Weld:1:::/l::Mountain+Dr:Longmont:CO:80503:US:40.140891:-105.174652:address:Boulder:1:::/io:1:::::f:en_US:M::/bl:/e These are basically the same as Skybird's directions from I-25 (edited a little below based on how the streets are signed). I25 to CO 119 west (Exit 240)which is also called Ken Pratt Blvd. 119 veers south somewhere past Main Street (at the train tracks), so be sure you turn right on Nelson. Stay on that all the way past Longmont to 75th Street (It is at a stoplight just past the Seagate building). Turn left/south on 75th and then just over the top of the hill turn left on Mountain Sanitas Avenue to the end and then right on Mountain. If you miss Mount Sanitas you can also turn left about 1/2 mile later on Clover Basin and then left on Mountain. The directions I posted earlier for Bonnie will also get you there, as will her original route. PS - If you're coming up I-25 and want to avoid coming through Longmont, you can take exit #235 to CO-52 West to CO-119 North and follow Skybirds Boulder directions from there.

I just wanted to check in and let you all know that the swap is well on its way!!! I plan to have everything wrapped up by the end of the week. You all were so generous in this swap, that we may have to offer some sasbe's when it is all said and done. I hope that is alright. A lot of wishes have been filled. Only 2 have me pretty stumped, but I will work it out.

2 more weeks till winter solstice!!! I am excited!!!

I did like it, that was really sweet. I think the others will like it also.

Well you guys I hope not to give any false hopes but I think we are on the final rounds. I am shooting to be at the post office by friday, so far I am on track maybe a little ahead of schedule. I have a few finishing touches make sure all my i's are dotted and t's are crossed (I am not only ocd, but I am anal also, LOL). Looks unless I find a major mistake (cause I can sure pull some whopers now) you guys should have your packages back by mid next week. Plenty of time for you to do your search quests to find out what your new items are before december 21st.

I am getting very excited to try some new seeds, and I love wintersowing, so this was a perfect swap. Thanks for all your energy and work to arrange this. I wait for the solstice to start sowing so I am on the edge..... I have not finished holiday decorating either so I need to stop playing with my seed stash... hahaha.... I would rather play with the seeds.

Hi! I received my package today. But I am missing some things.

I did 4 side swaps with people and only received 2 baggies in return.

I checked the list and it said there bubblie was received. Were my sideswap baggies not in there? And were all my baggies forwarded?

So sorry for the confusion Carolyn, other than that...I'm very happy with the seeds you chose for my bubblie. And need to look a couple of them up! :)

And velsgarden you did a fantastic job on those gift tags. Did they take long to do? They look like a fun winter project :)

Flowergirl, I think I was confused about that part. I guess I should of emailed you. I thought you were just giving those seeds to them. Cause the only seeds I got for you were the ones you got. I was curious about that though. I am so sorry I should of emailed you to ask!! That is my fault!!

Lisa I sent you an email.

There may be a few others that got less than 20, I will be honest and the only reason for it is because matching up your list with the seeds I had was difficult. For those that did get less than 20 the seeds you did get were as close to your wish list as I could get. In my mind I figured giving quality instead of quantity was the best route. I hope I wasn't wrong in that regard!!

Carolyn, I got my seeds today - very nice! Thank you so much! This was your first hosting, wasn't it? It's a lot more difficult than most people who haven't hosted realize - I know I will be spending many, many hours sorting TGS.

I love the selection you sent me, although it was totally unnecessary to send the extra postage back. I'll use it in TGS, I'm sure.

It was extremely difficult!! Way harder than what I imagined, but at the same time I did learn a lot, so I won't dare complain.

Though to be honest I am not looking to be in any swaps no time soon, lol.

Good luck on your theme garden swap, I thought about joining it, but I just don't see it happening I even dropped out of alana's. :(

Your a tease, lol. Cause that makes me want to now go peek!! I seriously do not know how you guys do all of those swaps and then host them also. Are you not worn out afterward?? I guess my disadvantage was starting it so late and having such a short deadline to get everything back, whew. That was crazy!!

Oh and by the way, the gag gift was found for anyone wondering about it. All about it is posted on the other thread on the discussion side. LOL It was in edie_h's.

Xmas has arrived. Received my seeds today. I just had the best time looking thru all of them. Gardening is the only thing I can think of that I get excited about doing a lot of work. If anyone hasn't gotten their packages by friday besides billstickers and msrie PLEASE let me know!!

All but 2 were mailed thursday!! The last package was mailed on monday and I see she got hers!!

If I don't hear from you I will automatically assume you got it.

I was thrilled to get my package this week. WOW! So many wonderful seeds to try! I can't wait to start my wintersowing. Thank you so much Carolyn for the great job you did hosting for us. I appreciate all your hard work in getting the seeds back out to everybody. Thanks to all my gardening friends for sharing your seeds with me. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

Hi, I was not a part of this swap but have been in contact with Ellie. She has not been able to log on to Gardenweb for several days and wanted me to post this for you guys.

I received my seeds and was delighted by the assortment. Lots of different
seeds that I am anxious to start in the greenhouse this spring. Thank you so very much. Have a great Christmas Season!

Thank you to everyone that contributed extra seeds for newbies. Your thoughtfulness will not be forgotten. I enjoyed going thru the seeds and my hands have been in the potting soil all week. I just had morning glory seeds sprout this morning and was so excited. LOL. Happy holidays everyone.
