Handy Dandy Hints for Potted Roses-Lesson Two

kaylah

Some of you may remember I was trying to nurse 50 roses through the winter. Some of them got water-logged and died. I am still getting a couple that suddenly start to die from the top, traveling down through the rose.

They're out in the greenhouse now. No heat at night, but staying above freezing.

That business of suddenly beginning to die from the top down is strange. I wondered if they should be planted in half sand, half potting soil.

Another question: what's the best fertilizer for potted roses? Mine are just standing there. I've been using Schultz plant food.
