Urgent help needed for John Deere 425

The JD 425 that I agreed to buy earlier was actually a 1993 Model. So it has old plastic camshaft that needs to be replaced. Now I could not decide whether I should go with it. I found another one off Craigslist. Please help me to decide:

1. John Deere 425 model 1993 with 700 hours, AWS, power flow bagger, and a 48" deck for $3K, but needs a new camshaft soon;

2. John Deere 425 model 1999 with 350 hours, no AWS, no bagger, but no need for camshaft.

Both tractor looks in good shape and owned by homeowners for cutting grass only. I need to mow 1 acre with quite some hills/trees and pull some plug aerators/wagons for yard work.

I probably would NOT really need the bagger since I mulch mow and also have a pull-behind lawn sweeper. I can sell the bagger however to lower the cost and finance the cam shaft for the 1993 model.

AWS really that useful? I do not really have many tight space to get around.

How much can I recover from selling the bagger?

Please advise. Need to make the decision this weekend.
