Regarding the black marks on the leaves, I suspect they are a physical injury, and not something you'll have to worry about in the long term. In your shoes I would keep an eye on them, but nothing more for the present.

I don't know what to make of the odd new growth, and can't see enough detail in the picture of the opening bud to have an opinion about it.

Black Marks: Some looks like downy mildew.

Red foliage. No problema. Many roses present dark mahogany red new foliage.

Odd wedding of foliage, looks like fasciation? Mabye a fertilizer problem. Maybe a passing thing.

The black spots don't look like black spot :) which is usually round. Could be injury, or, like the other issues, can be from changeable weather. Especially if there was cold weather when the leaves/buds are forming, they can be deformed. I get a lot of this kind of stuff in the spring if the nights get cold. Otherwise your plants look very healthy.

Thanks everyone for your great advice. I am going to be in a "wait and see" mode for now. And I really do not want to have to spray anything for insects, I am trying to invite as many insects into my garden as possible.

If the black spots are downy mildew, a spell of hot weather will put it down for the year, so I don't think you need to worry much about that. With DM, affected leaves will turn yellow quickly and drop.

The odd growth is suspicious; I would consider removing the cane at the base, but see what Ann says.
