Just had to get this off my chest. I had a day of wintersowing all planned. Got my seeds, containers and labels ready to go. Went to garage to get huge bag of MG potting soil - GONE! Hubby threw it away with the garbage yesterday! AAARRRGGGHHHH. I had it in a plastic bag because it was leaking, a CLEAR plastic bag. Any moron could see that it was a full bag of potting soil.

sigh, deep breath...

My goodness. Well, be thankful that it wasn't a plastic bag full of jugs (empty or full). That would have been harder to replace.

Wait till you catch him weeding out your flowers. Mine is still alive but sheeze! I could not speek to him for a week without some not so nice words. I want $6.99 per plant that you pulled up and that is over 200 bucks worth of plants!
Did I tell you he hates black eye susans.

I feel your pain. Yes, a prekindergarten graduation isn't of monumental importance, but you planned around their schedule - and then they changed it. Scheduling is one of the things that drives me nuts about my niece's school. Most of the time, they don't tell us when things are scheduled until a week (or less) ahead of time, which is bad enough. But then when they change the dates!!! I remember a few years ago, my sister was working as a school nurse and couldn't take much time off during the daytime. But my niece's class teacher scheduled a slide show at night, and my sister was SO excited to be able to finally attend something, only to have the teacher change the time to morning at the last minute, "because otherwise, some parents couldn't attend." (I would have had no problem if she'd polled the parents before setting the date, but thought this was very poorly done.) Anyway, have a great time at Disney!

I am furious just thinking about the conversation you had. You are not being unreasonable. You simply want the anti-tip device. Are they fools. What if a child had been killed by the range? They could be sued. It makes me so angry that this creep took your money. Poor quality customer service and for $300 they should fix this. ASAP!!!!! ( Okay, Deep BReaths boxerpups)... Clearly you can see I have been in a similar situation so have now taken on your anger as my own. It appears Appliance bossman knew they made a mistake. They hired the wrong sub-contractor probably his cousin. And no one want to take responsibility. I am so glad you posted this so that other can see how terrible they are being to you. If you have the energy and time post this on Yelp and Yahoo and any other public domain. Warn others so that the company understands that every time they hang up or try to avoid taking care of their mistake they will have to be accountable. Specifically the Appliance store and the Sub-Contractor's names on Yelp and Yahoo so others can be warned about your personal experience. What happened to good customer service???? It would have been so simple for them to own up to the mistake offer to come out right away and fix it or give you your $300 back for installation. Good grief, I posted to Glenda but not to the poor lady who fell. My apologies and feel better soon ! (I'm kinda new here, I'm usually over in gardening). How's this for embarrassing-I once thought I saw a baby tame rabbit on a slope in the back yard. I had just woken up. I went out across the pebbles (no grass) to try to catch it, and blam, fell on the pebbles and really cut up my knee and hands. I got up, hurting my cut hands on the pebbles even more, determined to get to the poor baby bunny. I fell AGAIN. Finally, I made it to the rabbit... It was a Kleenex, with parts of it pointed looking from a distance like ears. How's this for dumb and embarrassing: IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME THAT THE NOISE OF MY FALLS WOULD SCARE A RABBIT AWAY. So all of you can feel better now, thanks to me ! LOL !

Just take one of the surviving set screws to an Ace Hdwe store. (Tape it to a sheet of paper so you don't lose it.) They will have a 'thread checker' and be able to accurately size the threads. They should also have the set screws. Buy several. While you are there, buy some blue Loctite. (If you have no surviving set screws, take the door knob instead.) If Ace does not have the size you need, they should at least be able to tell you the size. Then source it on the Internet... Swing by Michael's and pick up some Rub 'n Buff if the color doesn't match. https://www.amaco.com/t/mixed-media/metallic-finishes/rub-n-buff Or maybe a metallic Sharpie. I have used Rub 'n Buff but have not used the metallic Sharpies. Once you are home, go around the house with the Loctite and use it on ALL of the doorknob set screws. Set screws are widely used. From eyeglasses to door knobs to holding fan blades on motor shafts. Plus a lot of other things. Slotted heads and often. allen head. The difficulty is determining the size you need.

Oh believe me, I had NO garden last year because he sprayed all the weeds (and everything around them) with round-up. He owes me at least $200, plus compensation for mental anguish!

That sounds like something my DH would do. WHY, that is all I ask.........why do they do these things? I swear, it seems like they have some kind of unconcious drive to do things to us that suck.You know things that bother us but (of course) they could care less about. Guarantee that if the bag was filled with something he was interested in it would still be there! That's how it is here sometimes, anyway.

DH does not touch anything which has an edging. As an Englishman, he knows better than to awaken the wrath of a French Canadian woman!!!

To put the potting soil out with the garbage???? I'm surprised you didn't put his suitcase there yourself! LOL!

But then again, you could 'milk' this you know.... How about a new trellis to make up for that mistake Dear?!

That reminds me to tell my husband where the lupines are planted this year in case he decides to get frisky with the weed wacker! After 3 years of chopping them down, you'd think he'd recognize one by now!

Just another reason why I'm glad to be an old maid, and that DBF lives an hour away and never sprays or weed wacks for me.

Another plus is that he has a chain saw and lovers to use it here...with my supervision of course. (Could that be why I'm an OM?)

Sue...who refuses kind offers of help to clean both the basement and the shed...

Ladies, ladies.... come on now, count to 10. You know they don't have any ovaries to think with, they can't help it, lol!! It's not their fault. You know, when the good lord man, he thought... "that is good but I can do better" !!! Then he made women, (hehehe!).

My DW and I agreed that if there were any plants or flowers to be planted, they would be planted in a flower bed and not just anywhere in the yard. If there was no room in any existing beds, I would dig a new one. This way no rose bushes or anything else "accidently" gets run over by the lawn mower. Men aren't stupid, they just do stupid things..........often
