Hi, I have a 1984 Craftsman 11hp 38" lawn tractor that leaks oil at the case halves toward the front of the tractor.
Where can I find a gasket replacement procedure? I figure it has to be TDC firing to align timing marks on the gears but am unsure about other stuff... should the flywheel (mag)half be facing up when the halves are separated...should the crank pull out of the lower half...Etc...?
For ref, this engine does not smoke and runs very good. Since I bought it new, in season it does over an acre every week and does lawn vac duty in the fall. Have only ever replaced the air filter, needle and seat and spark plug. Have always used 10w-40 Castrol or Pennzoil.
Thanks for any help,
Marshall
