Rock powder?

Soon, I will be constructing a number of raised beds on my property. I will not be using any of my own existing soil in these beds since (A) I do not have enough soil to begin with and (B)my soil "sand/clay" sucks. I would like to add to the compost the appropriate rock powder so as to allow me the option of planting directly into straight compost without worry of inadequate mineral content, undesirable tilth, etc. I'm thinking basalt or granite might suffice. My compost will consist of vegetable waste, animal manures w/bedding(horse, chicken, rabbit), leaves, spoiled hay, UCG, and whatever else I can round up.

What would be the optimal rock powder amendment for such a purpose? In what ratios should it be added? I will be growing organic and would like to produce the best quality compost possible. Thanks.
