Saving compost for compost tea

I'm about ready to start unloading my compost bin (this is my first load so I'm very excited) and spreading compost.

How much compost should I save for compost tea over the season? Is there a formula? And can I put it in a covered bucket to save it, or just pile it somewhere next to the garden?

I only have the one bin, and have several bags of leaves (and a freezer full of kitchen waste) to start a new pile once I move this stuff out. So I need a separate place to save some compost for tea. I plan to do the aeration setup, plus add some cider vinegar, seaweed and molasses (per Dirt Doctor's recipe).
